X-Plane aircraft developer Aerobask have become well known for a selection of high quality and sometimes quirky aircraft that really embrace the more experimental side of the aviation world. One of their next aircraft, reportedly coming soon, is the Shark UL. There are also some worrying developments on the Falcon 8X.
Ultralight Shark
Created by Shark.Aero and built in both Czechia and Slovakia, the Shark UL is an ultralight airplane with a 300km/h or 160 knot top speed. We saw early work in progress screenshots back in 2021 and now Aerobask are nearing the end of their project as this video reports that the Shark UL.
The video, linked above, shows off the airplane inside and out with the usual quality presentation that we’ve seen from Aerobask products in the past. This one is somewhat unique as it comes with Dynon Skyview and other customized instruments.

Product shuffling and Falcon 8X news
Originally planned to come after their Falcon 8X project, Aeroabask have recently reported that a couple of other projects have now moved forward on their schedule while their Falcon continues to be developed. A series of questions and answers were provided by Lionel from the Aerobask team reporting on the need to produce other products.
Because we need money for paying our bills and working on the Falcon without releasing new aircraft is no more sustainable (we tried but we’re running out of cash).

It does sound too that not only are Aerobask concerned with finances but the Falcon 8X project itself may be in jeopardy. The team have spent years developing the project and are working with Dassault to make the project happen. Answering the question on if the Falcon will continue to be developed, Lionel gave us this answer.
Yes, and of course we hope so. At some point, and because we cannot develop forever without resources, we hope being authorized to sell it in beta access. If this is refused we may have to cancel the project.

Things do sound like they are a bit dire with Aerobask right now and I do hope that the Shark UL and other projects help to improve finances. My reviews of their Legacy RG, Phenom 300, DA42, DA50 RG and DA62 will tell you how impressed I’ve been with their products. They’ve only improved over time. I do hope that they continue on and hope that things are not maybe quite as dire as it sounds.
