We’ve got a new update from Jason Williams and the Combat Pilot team. This one gives us an overall picture of where the team are at with some talk about what is being done and how the team are approaching different tasks. Let’s have a look!

New update

This new update covers a lot of ground talking about how the team are working on fundamentals of the product. Establishing standards, building tools to help the development process, and having the team get into a groove of building the content are mentioned as being key to what is going on right now.

Work continues on the flight model, physics model, development is ongoing on the A6M Zero and F4F Wildcat, on the US’ GP bombs, the Mark 13 torpedo, 3-Inch / 50 Caliber Dual Purpose Gun, and more. Work has even begun on the series’ first two capital ships: the USS Enterprise and IJN Akagi.

Here are some of the screenshots that were released with the update. Read the full update here!

It’s great to see. It does come with risks that things won’t pan out and people will feel a lot of disappointment. Still it’s great to have a front row to all of this.

They open sourced the engine that runs War Thunder, yes. It’s interesting news but I need to learn a bit more to write about it.

Not an easy thing even with an engine open and available. Still, you never know what might happen.

  4. I’d buy it – many likely would – as a very E/A or crowdfunding effort. I have faith that Jason will deliver a great product and I would love to see it mid-2024.

    Just sayin’
