A big update from 1CGS is out tonight with version 5.201 including the full release of Flying Circus Vol 3 as well as the new CG-4A Glider and the IAR-80/81. Here’s what you need to know.
Flying Circus Vol 3 officially released
A cinematic trailer is out to alongside today’s update with a showcase of the aircraft and scenery of Flying Circus Vol 3. The latest volume has been releasing bit by bit over the course of the year and has 8 aircraft as well as a revised map for the whole of the series. That map includes more details, more points of interest, and support for five seasons – spring, summer, autumn, late autumn and winter are all represented.

Today’s release also marks the launch of the R.E.8 two-seater reconnaissance and bomber aircraft.

Waco Glider
A key part of the the D-Day invasion was the CG-4A glider. Used to deploy troops, vehicles and supplies in the opening phases of the invasion and at several other points, the CG-4A is the series first glider and the first aircraft to be towed by another aircraft. It’s different and I look forward to trying it out.
IAR finally!

It’s been a long wait but the first half of the IAR project has arrived in the latest patch. Today we’re getting the “short” version of the IAR80 and 81. The Romanian fighter came in both short and long variants and the aircraft’s third party developer and 1CGS are determined to bring us both.
The base model starts off with a battery of six 7.92mm FN Browning machine guns but other models add 13.2mm FN Browning machine guns and MG151/20 cannons to the mix as well as bombs and a fuselage mounted bomb sling for dive bombing.
