It’s been a little while since I did an update on what flight sim developer IndiaFoxtEcho has been up to and I’m changing that right now. An update from a couple of days ago is showing off some big updates to one of their first military aircraft releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator. There’s also updates to their Ford and Nimitz class carriers and a nice dose of Tornado updates too.
Hawk gets its own Jester derivative
Ages ago I wrote a review on IndiaFoxtEcho’s Hawk T-45 and while it was a good airplane it suffered a bit from the platforms lack of maturity – HUDs weren’t even collimated properly at the time. Things have changed in some big ways with the latest versions adding all kinds of fixes and updates to systems, visuals and so forth. But the big update here is that IndiaFoxtEcho is taking the expertise they developed producing a version of Heatblur’s Jester for the MSFS F-14 and applying it to the T-45. Moongoose (that’s not a typo) gets a commo-rose style interface, voice messages, and the ability to control comm/navigation systems. The T-45 has also been integrated into IFE Companion Package for Marketplace users wanting to add weapons to their aircraft.

Tornado progress

Back in January, new screenshots and a status update on their Tornado project for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The project saw delays as a result of their efforts to move the F-14 from DCS World to MSFS but now that its out of the way they report good progress on the Tornado – a complex aircraft in its own right.
External model is essentially done while the cockpit is nearly there too minus some minor detail work. A first pass on the flight model has been completed and all basic systems and instruments are working. Sound work is already underway too though they are not yet mixed.
They are projecting a release sometime around the end of February though estimates like these rarely pan out. Still, it looks like this highly anticipated aircraft is due to release soon enough.
Nimitz, Ford carrier updates plus other items

IndiaFoxtEcho have also created a couple of carriers for many of their modules to interact with. These detailed models in their own right include parked aircraft, deck crew, vehicles and more. The latest updates are focused on improving resource sharing, avoiding file duplication, and cleaning up minor mistakes.
Two additional carriers, the Queen Elizabeth and the Cavour, are both in progress as well though they are in the pipeline behind the Tornado and will come out sometime after.
Meanwhile, work on their F-35, MB.339 and M-346 continue as well. The latest update on their Facebook page also teases a DCS World project status update soon too. Look forward to hearing about that! Check out IndiaFoxtEcho on Facebook.
