FlightSimExpo 2024 has a new venue, same city and dates

There’s some very good news coming from the organizers of FlightSimExpo 2024. They have a new venue and the expo is going to be happening in the same city on the same dates. Here are some of the key details in the announcement!

We’re heading to the Rio Las Vegas

After a significant amount of work behind the scenes as well as consultations with the community, Rio Las Vegas has been chosen as the new venue for the expo. This after a furiously busy few weeks where the expo organizers had to react to news that the previous venue, the Tropicana, was shutting down ahead of schedule.

Attendees will be able to take advantage of discounted rates on rooms with standard rooms available for $149 on Friday and Saturday and $69 on other nights (plus taxes and fees). Attendees who book at Rio Las Vegas using the discount room link will also enjoy a $25 credit per room for food and beverage courtesy of the Tropicana.

Some comments in the community include concerns about the state of the Rio which has been undergoing extensive renovations. The word from the FSExpo organizers is that things are looking good with restaurants reopened and the pool opening soon. The Rio is home to over a dozen restaurants and a variety of entertainment venues with shows happening outside of the expo itself.

Right now, the organizers are saying that no action is required as next steps are being worked on. They recommend on waiting to book at the Rio and/or cancel your Tropicana booking if you have one. More updates are on the way but for now let’s just celebrate that FlightSimExpo is going ahead as planned!
