The DCS: OH-58D Kiowa Warrior has just released for DCS World and this long awaited scout helicopter is finally here with a wide range of systems and quite a bit of community interest too. Let’s have a look!
Ready for action
It feels like ages ago now when Polychop formally announced the DCS: OH-58D Kiowa Warrior for DCS World. It turns out that was back in 2019 and since then the module has been developed into a releasable product with Polychop forgoing the usual early access model and instead releasing with all features ready to go.
Licensed by Bell Textron, the OH-48D for DCS World represents a later model of the Kiowa Warrior scout helicopter. The type was used in operations with the US Army from 1988 through to 2017 when it was formally retired..
The module incorporates a detailed flight model, high resolution textures inside and out, mast mounted sight with TV, FLIR cameras and laser range finder, data link system for Kiowa to Kiowa messaging, missile warning system, moving map system, night vision capable, and more.

The full slate of available OH-58D weapons including M3P machine gun, 2.75″ rockets, AGM-114K Hellfire anti-tank missile, APKWS laser guided rockets, FIM-92 stinger, and it even has the handheld M4 rifle with VR controller support.
60-liveries are also packaged with the module.
The module is launching without early access and is considered a complete product. It also thus has no pre-order incentives and is available for $69.99 USD from the DCS World E-Shop and on Steam.
