Rounding out two weeks of Summer Surprises, iniBuilds have provided us with a relatively lengthy status update on their airliner projects. The development update talks about their X-Plane 11/12 products, the A300 for MSFS and the highly anticipated A350. Let’s have a look!
A350 details
As expected, we’ve got a teaser video that’s about 1-minute long giving us our best look at the A350 yet. iniBuilds are reporting on some elements of the aircraft as well that includes visual and simulated maintenance similar to the A300. Brake wear indicators, fuel panel, openable APU and engine cowling, APU mechnic, RAT and reactive windshield.

The aircraft will also have dynamic wear and tear that include visual wear. The more you fly, the more visually worn the aircraft will look. Sounds great!
Paint will start to peel away from rivets, painted screws will slowly be replaced by unpainted replacements. Sealant around access panels will become more pronounced as its replaced with each opening. Dynamic oil and dirt streaks will appear around areas where leaks are most prevalent. Dirt and grime on flaps and other control surfaces will appear where rubbing against fixed surfaces occur.
They also talk interior where the A350 looks to be extremely detailed yet again.

Future updates will turn from visual details to systems and features but they did want to cover a few items in this update.
Although the A350 is relatively new by airliner standards, it is now 10-years old and iniBuilds appears to be assuring us that they have gathered enough data to do a credible rendition of the plane. The areas that they are missing are being covered by regular visits to a full motion A350 simulator and approximately 12 subject matter experts weighing in on various items. They say it will be a project that will far exceed anything they have done before.
In addition to the update, they have also produced a follow-up FAQ which talks about failures, SATCOM, MTOW variants, CPDLC, and more.
A300 updates
iniBuilds have just recently released a new update for the A300-600 airliner for MSFS which brought in some fixes and performance improvements. What’s next? A few things!
We’ve got confirmation that the A300-600 will transition over to MSFS 2024 free of charge. Great news! Meanwhile, work is ongoing for the Epic Mod expansion pack – this paid addon will add the Epic avionics package that many modern A300 freighters use. The pack will come to MSFS 2024 but will not be compatible with MSFS 2020. The team also report that they are working with Aviaworx.com to produce a remote FMS option that has been requested by the community. They are working together to ensure compatibility.
X-Plane update
We also have a small X-Plane update. Their A300-600R(F) and BelugaST products for X-Plane 11 and 12 will be returning to their storefront soon with a new lower price of 19.99 GBP. They report that they have some fixes coming with the return to the storefront with FMOD memory leak issues holding up the release.
Bug fixes are planned for the future but no major changes are planned.
They reportedly did have a talk with Thomson Meeks at Laminar Research recently but they don’t have any plans for further products for X-Plane at this time. I know some X-Plane fans were maybe hoping for more cheery news, however, continued updates for at least two of their current products is something. Maybe more will come.
