We’ve got some news coming in from PMDG’s Robert S. Randazzo on the 777-300ER, on the 777F freighter variant and on the 737 line with upgrades and 777 features coming to the now slightly older aircraft. Here’s what we know!
The 777 comes to the marketplace, 777F into beta
A pair of good news pieces for the PMDG 777. We start with the 777-300ER which has now been available for several weeks on the PMDG website and is now joining the rest of the PMDG line-up on the MSFS Marketplace. This, crucially, also means that the aircraft is available for XBox owners for the first time.
The Marketplace variant has its livery options separated out and these will allegedly be arriving onto the marketplace by sometime next week at the latest. Although $4.99 is the lowest price currently available on the Marketplace, apparently a special deal is being worked out to reduce the price to something lower – Robert says they will be “available for a song.”

Moving on, we have news that the 777F, better known as the freighter variant of the 777, is nearly ready for beta testing and is nearing the end of development. We don’t yet know what freight specific features PMDG are building into the product but hopefully that will be revealed soon.
737 upgrades and pricing changes
We also have news about the 737 line with a new build of the aircraft that is currently on the way. The build reportedly addresses some “freezing” issues that have cropped up and will likely be released in the 3rd week of August.
A couple of new features are coming to the aircraft as well. The new navdata coding in the 777 is apparently coming to the 737 as well. Meanwhile, the tablet capabilities on the 777 are also coming to the 737 and will be implemented, tested, and rolled out one at a time rather than in one big update.
Robert reports that once they have completed this process, the 737 series will move out of their early access/early adopter pricing and pricing will return to normal. I had wondered why PMDG had implemented what seemed to be a permanent sale on their 737 aircraft and now we know. Still lots of time to take advantage of the slightly better pricing in the interim.
PMDG celebrates 27 years
Celebrating 27 years as a company, PMDG are planning to offer a three day sale starting on August 7 with 27% off all products except the recently released 777. Keep an eye out for that!
