Third party developer IndiaFoxtEcho provides frequent MSFS updates but somewhat less frequent DCS updates. When they do update, however, I pay close attention as their first aircraft for the sim has become a personal favourite and their plans for the future include some very interesting additions. This update includes a small update on the G.91 and some details on the MB-339.

Updates to the 339, plus G.91 sighting

The core piece of the update is surrounding features that were released this past week in the latest DCS World update. The upgrades include fixed LOD issues with a disappearing cockpit, fixed crash to desktop issues, addition of a new flight director system, improved suspension behaviour and improved coloured smokes. All good updates for the 339 which is a fairly simple yet interesting little jet.

We also have a sighting of the G.91 flying next to the MB-339. It’s looking good but also a little tantalizing because we want to see a bit more!

IndiaFoxtEcho report that the G.91 is being developed actively and that it is progressing. They explain that DCS World efforts take far longer to do with more attention to detail and a more labour intensive coding process. That means that the G.91 is taking a long time to do.

They also say that another update is due soon. Looking forward to it!

Look for future updates right over here!

  1. I don’t own the MB-339 in DCS, but it was my first add-on plane purchase in FS2020. Also have the IFE Tomcat and F-35, and I really enjoy all their planes. IFE are great developers for sure.

Excellent devs for sure. I need to check out more of their MSFS slate as time goes on. Something for me to think about after things settle from 2024’s launch and we move into 2025.

  2. I have the MB-339 and its a fun little module – I brought it mainly to support IFE as I had liked their work in MSFS. I can’t say I fly it anymore but the latest update has made me want to go back and revisit some IFR.

    1. I want to get it for DCS, but I’m a horrible cheapskate and the sale price hasn’t dropped enough. But always fun to try it out with the free trials every six-months. Another month or two before my next free trial period kicks in.

I love revisiting it from time to time sometimes just to fly around. It’s a very enjoyable aircraft that is fairly easy to manage on the whole. I do need to check it out post update!
