A new update is out for the IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battle Series. Most of the update is focused on fixes and updates to existing content but there is a new campaign for the Mosquito, created by James =Jaegermeister= Yarbrough.
Updates across the series
Some new modifications for several aircraft take up a number of the bullet points on Update 5.505. The Bf110G-2, Bf109F-4 and Bf109G-2 all get a new (and optional) 1943 engine modification with up to 3 minutes of emergency mode time. The Bf109G-6 and G-6 Late also get their emergency mode time increased to 3-minutes.
The P-39L-1 also gets a similar update with the Engine V-1710-63 (1943) modification increasing emergency time to 5 minutes at 3000 rpm and 60 in of manifold pressure.
Other updates include fixes to the career mode with the Normandy career mode getting quite a few updates. The Airco DH2 and Albatross D3 also get their missing in-cockpit photo corrected.
New campaign

Mosquito fans are going to want to check this out! James =Jaegermeister= Yarbrough has produced a new 12-mission campaign taking players from January to July of 1944 flying with RAAF No. 464 Squadron.
The campaign will have you and your navigator flying a mix of daylight bombing and night intruder missions. Formations will be flown on larger missions but in some missions you’ll be on your own. Actually, you will be on your own together with your navigator which has been fully voiced for this campaign – that’s a neat feature!
The campaign is on sale regularly for $12.99 USD but currently is up for just $9.74 as an introductory offer. Check it out here!
Sale underway
The 2024 Winter Sale is underway with up to 75% off on various products. The highlight is that Battle of Normandy gets the 75% off treatment for the first time ever which dovetails nicely with the above campaign.
