In what has now become a well established tradition, Eagle Dynamics, the folks behind DCS World, release a cinematic trailer called “DCS World and Beyond” where they offer up a showcase of everything that DCS World is and hopes to be. The date for this year is January 16!
Trailer time
2025 and Beyond is coming! Every year we’ve had a slightly different type of presentation but every one of them has been a combination of product showcase, cinematic masterpiece, and teaser of products to come.
In the 2024 and Beyond trailer we saw some of the things that came to DCS World in the past year. The Afghanistan map, OH-58D, F-4 Phantom, the CH-47F, the heavy metal assets (B-52 and B-1B among them), the new deck crew features for Supercarrier, as well as the usual array of products already released.
We also saw things that haven’t yet come with a lot of focus on the Pacific WWII assets that have yet to materialize or the AI model, the A-6 Intruder, and La-7. There’s a lot that hinges on the “Beyond” part of the experience, still its an exciting moment for fans of the DCS series to see what’s coming.
The preview poster for DCS World 2025 gives us a bit of a tease of what to expect. The date, January 16 is obvious, but if you look closely you can see the faint outline of the Eurofighter Typhoon, a graphic representing the frontlines and some very typical DCS World icons on it, and what looks like apartment buildings and palm trees along the bottom. Getting a closer look at Heatblur and TrueGrit’s Typhoon would be interesting and the map along the top suggests something to do with the long in development campaign system. That may be reading into it a little too much, but speculate we will right up to January 16…. and beyond.

We’ll see what we can learn then and see what Eagle Dynamics teases at the end because they nearly always do!
