I’m slowly going to be catching up with some of the individual highlights from the day but I’m going to be able to check quite a few reveals off the list with one article on iniBuilds who had a pretty good day of reveals, sales, teases, and more.
The A350 ULR update
Back when the A350 was launched, iniBuilds let us know that they had a larger free update planned for the airplane adding A350-900 ULR variant. That moment has now arrived!
This version of the A350 increases the usable capacity of the A350s wing tanks and increases the capacity of the aircraft from 141,000 to 165,000 L (that’s 37,000 to 44,000 US gal). Slightly extended winglets and restrictions on the cargo hold are the only real differences between this and the standard variant of the A350-900. The aircraft has been used by Singapore airlines on some of their extremely long distance routes (Singapore to New York city) but hasn’t proved popular with other operators. In the sim we now get to use this extended range variant if we so wish to do so!
The ULR is also not the only update to the product as iniBuilds takes the airliner up to version 1.1.0. The update includes support for career mode, emergency evacuation slides (like on the A300), model refinements, performance improvements, further fixing to WASM crashes, additional scenarios (such as food poisoning, medical emergency, unruly passengers and lavatory smoke).
iniBuilds have also enabled a new feature that lets them plug in different cabin types. The A350 ULR for example features Singapore’s ULR layout with full business class and premium economy layout. That one is free, but iniBuilds have also decided to sell cabin packs with Cabin Pack I focused on Lufthansa, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and Air France. Cabin Pack II includes Emirates, Etihad, and Qatar Airways. Each pack is £9.99 GBP or about $13 USD – steep for a relatively minor cosmetic change. Still, cosmetic packs are quite popular in other genres so it may well be a thing that other folks are into.
A trailer overview is available below! The A350 is also briefly on sale for £50.99 GBP through the weekend.
A340 teased
It doesn’t take much for flight simmers to start drooling about the next product in the pipeline and it looks like iniBuilds have just teased another one. The company has previously talked about an L-1011 project and about the A380. Another airliner is about to enter into the mix as the company has just teased the A340.
On social media they wrote:
Did you see our little teaser at the end of the A350 ULR Trailer? Hello D-AIGU!
The registration D-AIGU corresponds to an A340-313 fitted with CFM 56-5C4 (the slightly more powerful variant of the same engine family fitted to the A320ceo). The four engine airliner is a bit of a unicorn in modern times but is still operated regularly by a few operators including Lufthansa.

Where the A340 fits into their development schedule remains a little uncertain. It may well be a long term project coming long after the previously two announced airliners or it could be jumping the queue a bit – iniBuilds does already have a lot of experience with that generation of Airbus product with the A320neo, A321LR, and various A330 aircraft on the market. For a veteran developer like iniBuilds, it may not take them much to utilize their technology to develop the A340 – though that is not to undersell that its still a big project.
New Doha scenery
Last year it was Dubai and this year its Doha getting the iniBuilds scenery treatment. The team there has released two products, Doha Hamad airport (OTHH) and Doha City & Landmarks which are obviously complimentary.
The airport is the usual effort from the company with complex visuals inside and out covering the international hub. The price is typical for some of iniBuilds large airport scenery packs at £19.99 GBP.
Doha City includes 30 landmarks including the cities skyline and several nearby resorts. iniBuild says they’ve done some custom work with the lighting system to represent some of the more colourful buildings which the city appears to have plenty of.
Until July 4, Doha City is free for those who purchase Doha Hamad airport. After which the price will be £9.99 GBP.
Sales underway
The developer and publisher is also hosting quite a large sale celebrating the summer season (as is in-vogue right now) and there are discounts on aircraft and scenery packs available through their webstore.
Even their recently released Spartan 7W has a pretty good (and tempting) discount.
