Some more pre-rendered clips coming to us from the latest 1C Game Studios developer diary focused on their upcoming IL-2 Korea. The latest showcase gives us a close look at the completed La-11 cockpit. Let’s have a look.

La-11 ready to move to the next step

We’ve seen over the last couple of years a pipeline of developing content for IL-2 Korea. Exterior and interior images of in development aircraft showing off development before then seeing the final texture and model work coming together in pre-rendered imagery. That’s where were at with the L-11 now which looks spectacular in the renders. Lots of fine detail on all of the instruments, radios, gunsight and beyond.

I know we’re anxious to see the next step in this where everything comes together in the sim with cockpit imagery and some combat going on. I suspect we’ll be seeing that sooner than later but in the meantime have a close look at the La-11.

More images and discussion over on the IL-2 Korea developer blog.

  1. Looking forwards to flying the plane.

I think that when the IL-2 dev team return to Europe, it will be interesting to see how it performs when flying against the aircraft there, especially the 1944-45 era fighter planes. Even against 1944-45 Japanese planes will be interesting to see the outcome of a virtual dogfight.

  2. It would be cool if the new series had hundreds of aircraft from WWI, through WWII, to the Korean War. Though that will probably stay a fantasy of mine. But what i do understand is that this is going to be a very interesting era for IL-2.
