A Spanish DCS channel on YouTube has posted an interview with the CEO of Aerges as well as a subject matter expert who is working with Aerges on their modules. The video is in Spanish but community members from the r/Hoggit community have translated some key points. Let’s have a look!

Mirage F1M, F-104, and others

The interview, in Spanish, covers quite a bit of range on what Aerges is up to with their plans for DCS World. CalmAd7670 from r/Hoggit posted a message on the community forums that helps summarize from Spanish into English covering some of the key points.

Some of the things that we learned? Aerges have bought a real F1M simulator from the Spanish forces so they can work with a real training sim. The F1M is quite far a long in development with an upgraded cockpit model, complex MFD screen (with 50 to 100 pages), GPS, CCIP, and CCRP capability.

Exterior and interior graphics for the entire F1 line are being upgraded and graphical updates are also planned for the company’s C-101 as well.

Over on the F-104, the project is also coming along nicely and is already quite advanced. There are plans to make the zero length launch system with the F-104 work meaning you can rocket off into the sky from a fixed launcher. Sounds like a rush!

There is the impression given by the summary that the Mirage III module is also under consideration. I know there are some regular readers here who have often hoped for one of those and so apparently that is a consideration for future projects. I’d be all for it.

Watch the video above or check out the rest of the summary right over here on r/Hoggit.

One response to “An interview with Aerges CEO details plans for the F1M, F-104 and other projects!”

  1. Oh yeah, gimme that F-104. Been my favourite plane since forever.
