The embargo is over for content creators to provide some early previews of IL-2 Series Korea as the sim works its way towards the early access launch on June 25. Here’s a round-up of the videos that we’ve seen so far.

Korea prepares for launch with creator videos

Creators from across YouTube are launching into IL-2 Series Korea just a little ahead of the early access date coming up next Thursday. Some of the creators have been busy on day one providing video content to have a look at.

We start the round-up with Wolfpack345 with both a first look video as well as some live streamed gameplay. Both give you a good overview of what the sim appears capable of doing.

Tricker takes to the skies with a nearly 4 hour stream. If you wanted a lot of gameplay running for quite a long time, this is it.

Growling Sidewinder intercepts some bombers in a “Black Thursday” styled scenario.

And we have Bullet4MyEnemy, best known for some of his DCS Cold War content, with a bomber interception mission.

More are likely to emerge in the coming days so look for that!

  1. Those vidéos are so impressive ! Kudo to 1C for such an awesome work done ! It’s just my personnal opinion but the map looks very nice, the viewing distance and variety of scenery is beautiful : mountains, valley, islands… I think cities and airbase look really convinving. I not a specialist of clouds benchmarks across sims but I look to me very pleasing. The sunset is beautiful. There is more eyecandies to explosion. Napalm and rockets are satisfying. I love the attention to small details : water effect behind the jet taking off on a wet airtrip, the shaking handle in the mig15 cockpit on TO… The bombers battle are impressive. It’s a nice change to see so many aircraft in the sky. The mig canon look so powerful ! I love how busy are the airbase. It really feels being part of a whole army. Personnal opinion, I like the very settle graphic design of the menu : there is a lot of information, so it’s nice to have an orderly and subbtle design. And so many thing to discover in those menus : controller settings, plane loadout, mission briefing, squadron symbols, etc. My head feels dizzy ! can’t wait for next week 😀

  2. I watched most of the videos last night in bed. Compared to IL-2 GB the UI and menus seem very clean and easy to ready again which is great, but they appear even more snappy and quick.

The world feels way more alive, it’s great seeing so many objects in the air and on the ground. This was a major nitpick of Great Battles.

Not sure what PC specs were for the streamers, probably pretty beefy but the game looked and ran good for early access. It looked pretty polished and you know this dev team is going to keep working on the sim and making it better.

    Great start!
