The next steps for the DCS: JF-17 moving towards release are coming down the pipeline as the team seems to be putting the finishing touches on their module before sending it to Eagle Dynamics for evaluation. Here’s the latest!
Final round of bug fixing
A developer for Deka Ironworks is reporting that their DCS: JF-17 module is making another step towards being complete and that the team is conducting another round of bug smashing before they submit their fourth gen fighter jet simulation to Eagle Dynamics for testing and qualification towards release.
Sorry for the delay. We’re focusing on a final round of bug fixing and feature polishing for pre-QA code freeze so there may not be a video [until] this weekend.

Looking forward to the next video!
New cockpit textures
The recent tutorial videos for the JF-17 have been illuminating in how the multi-role fourth gen jet functions as well as giving us a taste of its capabilities. What the videos have also exposed is that the jet lacks finished textures and while the spartan appearance of the cockpit is at least utilitarian, to stand up to the standards set by other developers, Deka Ironworks needs to finish this one up.
Their lead artist was sick in hospital for a time but is apparently back at work and producing these very impressive textures.
Finding that balance between factory fresh and regular use is difficult to do but it looks like Deka Ironworks’ artist is really quite good at finding that balance.
I look forward to seeing more!
