DCS World Lunar Sale is on!

Hot on the heels of the new year sale is the DCS World Lunar Sale which is helping to ring in the lunar new year on January 25th as celebrated in China and elsewhere in the world. As with most other sales, it’s 50% off most DCS World modules with a few exceptions for the most recent releases. Plus, the sale trailer features a few glimpses of some new aircraft and core updates for DCS World.

50% off and a cool new trailer

From yesterday until January 27th, most DCS World modules will be on sale except for aircraft such as the DCS: F-14 Tomcat, DCS: JF-17 Thunder, and the DCS: Christen Eagle II. Most other modules get the 50% discount so there’s lots of deals to be had just in-case your wallet wasn’t already empty.

The sale also comes with a cool new trailer that has at least couple of interesting pieces incorporated into it. Around the 0:10 mark, you can see the new Ju88 bomber for DCS: WWII asset pack, and then at 1:10 there’s a glimpse of the Fw190A-8 looking like it’s sporting the new damage model and damage effects for DCS: WWII. There is of course plenty of the usual with the F/A-18, F-16, AJS-37, UH-1H, and several shots of the Chinese Flanker variant – the J-11. No doubt that this sale is directed at their Chinese market audience.

Steam Lunar Sale starts in probably a few days, then DCS will get discounted there too. Planning to get the I-16 this time…

I’d like the I-16, nice visibility with that open cockpit. But probably the Spitfire first. I went nuts on the last sale and still have a few bucks in my Steam wallet.

I-16 appealed to me the most out of the warbirds, but I figured it wouldn’t be a good choice as a first bird, so I bought the P-51 first.
