DCS: Syria pre-order launches plus new trailer, screenshots

For those of you hungry for new places to fly out of and over in DCS World, this year has been a pretty good one so far and it looks like Ugra Media’s DCS: Syria map looks like another exciting and interesting addition to the series. The pre-order with a nice pre-order discount launched today along with a new trailer and tons of screenshots. Oh and we get a little tease of the Mi-24P Hind as well. Let’s have a look!

Pre-order goes live with new trailer and screenshots

Eagle Dynamics and Ugra Media have tapped familiar trailer maker Glowing Amraam for the latest trailer to grace DCS World. Featuring plenty of scenic vistas, high action sequences, and scenery, there’s a lot to look at in the new trailer.

Together with the trailer we also see plenty of new screenshots released on the Eagle Dynamics website including these choice selections that show off just some of the scenery that we see in the 600×500 km map that covers much of the eastern Mediterranean. There are many more available on the DCS World website so be sure to have a look.

Pre-order is now

If you’re buying from the DCS World website, you can pre-order the new DCS: Syria map with a 30% discount starting today. That brings the price from a regular $49.99 USD to $34.99 USD. The pre-order discount will likely be in place until the map is released. Release date is still not certain but it is likely to be soon. Steam Store owners meanwhile will need to wait.

I was sold when it was first announced.

Anyone interested in operations over the area / the IDF, I cannot recommend enough Gen. Iftach Spector’s book ‘Loud and Clear’. He was one of the IDF’s leading aces, flew from ’66 to ’82 including 6 Day War, Attrition, Yom Kippur and was one of the 8 F-16 Osirak Raid pilots. He is also a very measured individual with misgivings about what Israel is doing and where the region is headed (he got into trouble for saying so publically).

His account of operations over the Golan and Syria should really whet peoples’ appetite for this map
