Just a few days since the last video from Matt Wagner covering new HARM modes for the F-16C, now we have new modes being introduced for the F/A-18C too. Let’s have a look!
The new modes detailed
There’s quite a bit of depth in the simulation of these systems as the two new modes are detailed. Pre-Briefed (PB) let’s you attack pre-designated radar types using coordinates and either aircraft or missile lofting (i.e. you point the nose high giving the HARM a range boost). Then there’s the Pull Back sub-mode for the Self Protect (SP) mode which is basically an override to SP mode on what happens with the aircraft when locked onto by a radar.

It also won’t take much for everyone to notice that the video features the latest look at the new clouds for DCS World that includes a localized rainstorm.
