A few of you have asked me about creating a $1 support tier for the blog and I’ve listened, done some research and thought about what benefits the $3-tier should receive. As a result, I’m making a few changes to my Patreon supporter tier structure and I wanted to talk a little about it.
Two options to show support
I am announcing a new two tier Patreon setup with a Stormbirds Supporter tier set at $1 and Stormbirds Supporter Plus at $3. The Supporter Plus tier includes listing your support on the blog here (unless you’d prefer to remain anonymous) as well as receiving occasional behind the scenes updates here on Patreon. There may be other benefits in the future as well!
Thank you all for your continued support of my work and all of the kind comments, helpful suggestions and ongoing dialogue. I appreciate it all!

Stormbirds 
If you ever consider a single payment option, as opposed to a subscriber basis as is required by Patreon, it might make it easier for some of us to show our support.
For my part, I would be happy to support the site with single payments in a chosen amount.

I’ll look into that. I have no idea what’s involved. Patreon makes management slick and easy and I’m not surprised that so many creators make use of it.
I’ll look around and see what other options are out there.
In the meantime I really appreciate your continued support in many other ways. Appreciate it!

Most people who to single payments just post a link to a paypal payment method. I know one of my other Patreon supportees does that. You can look up Tom Merit, or Daily Tech News Show (aka DTNS) if you want to see how he structures his Petreon.

That’s cool! If we are already doing the 3$ monthly, do we automatically move up to the Plus tier or do we need to change something on the Patreon end?

Everyone doing the $3 is automatically moved to the Plus tier. I figured that keeps things simple and easy.

I want the Platinum Plan so I can get top secret access to the actual dates for DCS module releases.

I’m in! StormBirds provides “hands on” perspective across a broad spectrum of flight sim, takes on contentious issues, drops sales notifications (and reasons to buy!), and even runs Sturmovikfest as icing on the cake!
Who else does that? NOBODY… 🙂

Maybe in the future we can get a $5 tier with exclusive Stormbirds aircraft skins. I like mine with scantily clad young ladies on the side.
