The third video in a new series of DCS: Mi-24P Hind videos has emerged on Matt Wagner’s YouTube channel and its a detailed explanation of how to hover, taxi, and takeoff in Eagle Dynamics new helicopter. Let’s have a look!

Helicopter essentials

Matt Wagner’s latest tutorial covers essential operations in the DCS: Mi-24P Hind and it comes hot on the heels of another video which covers the basic cold-start procedure. Learning how to taxi, takeoff, and hover are key essential parts of flying the helicopter and it’s really important to know how to do this!

The tutorial picks up right after the cold start tutorial covering a few inconsistencies there before jumping into understanding of some other key systems. Notably, they have even got the windshield wiper modeled, the fan in the cockpit shakes with the movement of the helicopter, and the whole cockpit seems to have the appropriate level of grunge.

Have a look at the video to learn more about flying the Hind!

Flight model looking every bit as nuanced as the Hip. Can hardly wait to get in this beautifully modeled flying APC and give it a go!
