LevelUp releases 737NG freeware for X-Plane 11

Your choices for 737 freeware on X-Plane 11 just got more interesting as LevelUp and Threshold announce the release of the UP 737NG freeware. This detailed simulation of the 737 builds on the ZiboMod 737-800 while adding some new and potentially compelling features to the list. Let’s have a look!

A family of 737 airliners

The 737NG Series by LevelUp and Threshold is out and with it comes a whole family of 737 series airliners for fans of X-Plane 11 to fly. The ZiboMod together with the default 737 in X-Plane 11 form the basis of this freeware project.

This is now a 5-aircraft family with the 737-600, 700, 800, 900 and 900ER all being available to fly. Each one has a new passenger cabin, cockpit textures, PBR, three options for wingtips, and legendary Laminar Research & FlyJSim sound editor Daniela Rodriguez Careri providing the FMOD sounds. The marketing materials for the project also tout a smaller file size than the previous 737 Ultimate project.

Future cargo and MAX variants are planned after the initial NG release has been settled.

More information is available on the Threshold website. Official liveries are also available. Of course you can also get the ZiboMod itself here.

And if you just want to watch, popular streamer Captain Canada is streaming (live as I type this) a flight in the LevelUP 737NG.

Love to see these amazing freeware offerings. I spent some time with it this weekend and the 3d models are gorgeous but the flight model feels like a 747!

Amazing freeware is definitely something else to behold. Interesting about the 747 comment, I’ve heard comments saying that they find this more responsive than the Zibo. Are you using the Experimental Flight Model?
