Another DCS World Weekend News update is out and we have some news on the AI voice over system for the DCS: AH-64D and DCS: Mi-24P. There’s also a new sale about to kick off in a few days so let’s have a look!
AI voice system
Both DCS: Mi-24P Hind and DCS:AH-64D make use of a AI-helpers to manage these two seat helicopters. Eagle Dynamics have mentioned voice over system for these AI helpers for the Hind and Apache (named Petrovich and George respectively) but we haven’t heard much recently.
Today’s update does mention them again and gives us a few more welcome details. The system is expected to react both to player commands (i.e. target, fire, translate forward, etc.) while also proactively spotting and reporting targets.
There’s also mention of different “attitude states” with the voice overs shifting depending on the intensity of what’s going on. I’d assume both George and Petrovich to be more tense and/or excitable in combat situations and more relaxed while in cruise. Sounds good!
SimFest Sale
