Asobo and Microsoft have been busy working with various authors to bring aircraft to life and the latest iteration is the Dornier Do J ‘Wal’ which pairs nicely with the latest World Update. Here’s what you need to know!
The legend is available now

Dornier, pre-WWII had a reputation for building some impressive flying boats and one of the more famous versions was the Dornier Do J ‘Wal’. The Do J was a twin engine, high-wing, flying boat. This type flew several impressive world beating flights during its heyday. One of those was flown by the ‘Plus Ultra’ which flew the first flight from Spain to South America. Another, the N-25, was part of a two aircraft expedition led by Roald Amundsen to the north pole. These two types plus the Cabina represent three variations of the Do J ‘Wal’ available for purchase.
All three versions plus missions recreating these historic flights are available from the Marketplace for $15 USD.

Interesting choice but it’s one more of those planes that’s really hard to know how well it’s actually simulated.

The past tense of lead is “led”, not “lead”. Roald Amundsen can’t have “lead” an expedition.

You are correct. This is a typo made and not obviously caught by my own editorial process. It’s a blog, it happens.
