New trueSKY and 4K texture Desert Wings images

The fine folks at Team Fusion Simulations have sent me a bunch of new screenshots from their latest work on their Desert Wings – Tobruk project. Among them are some great images showing off the 4K texture work and their TrueSKY clouds implementation. Let’s have a look!

More clarity, more clouds

The folks at Team Fusion are working towards some visual updates to the long running IL-2 Cliffs of Dover and Desert Wings – Tobruk series. Among them are high resolution 4K quality textures which will result in sharper visuals both inside the aircraft and outside of them.

Then there are the weather system enhancements with the cloud system being replaced by trueSKY. The technology is best represented by the work done with it on Ace Combat 7, however, it has been used in other games as well.

Enjoy the screenshots and be sure to view them full screen as you’ll be able to see the differences in sharpness better there.
