X-Aviation and the newly re-branded TOGA Simulations (formerly X-Scenery) will be releasing the Mitsubishi MU-2 version 2.0 on Friday. Fans of the version 1.0 aircraft will even see a substantial discount on offer when it goes up for sale. Here are some of the details.

Complete rebuild

The Mitsubishi MU-2 is a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries manufactured high-wing, twin-engine turboprop aircraft with a pressurized cabin. With a cruise speed near 300 knots, this is a fast short range light utility transport can cover about 1,200 nautical mile while cruising at 25,000 feet. A decent performer!

The version 2.0 of TOGA Simulations MU-2 is a rebuild and remake of their very first payware project coming out with X-Plane 9 and seeing constant updates through multiple versions of the sim. This new version features redone systems, modeling and textures. A series of development threads announcing the project and then providing periodic updates including this last one detail the behind the scenes that went into the project.

It’s late in X-Plane 11’s life and few aircraft are releasing right now which makes this aircraft release notable. The developers have confirmed that there will be a free update to X-Plane 12 when the time comes.

Release is expected on Friday, July 15, sometime in the afternoon.
