Aerobask update Phenom 300 for X-Plane 12

I’ve had some terrific adventures with the Aerobask Phenom 300 in X-Plane 11 since its release and now that it’s out for X-Plane 12 I intend to have several more. The new update from Aerobask was released today.

Same Phenom 300, new sim!

At a time when business jets were few and far between for X-Plane 11, Aerobask surprised many of us with their announcement of a Phenom 300 in development for that sim. Aerobask’s rendition of the Phenom 300 is now over a year old now but its still a favourite among many X-Plane fans and this latest update brings it up to scratch for X-Plane 12.

For X-Plane 12, the flight model has been tweaked by X-Aerodynamics, there are new G100 features, new ice and rain effects, and Aerobasks’ new menu system which appears to be standard across their entire lineup. The new menu includes features such as auto-computing V-speeds and the ability to change the livery on the fly so if you don’t like your choice, you can choose another one.

The liveries do look great under the new lighting model too!

The update is free for current owners. Those looking to buy in can get the Phenom 300 for $44.95 USD. It’s available from the X-Plane.org Store.

How to pop out PFD and MFD to use in Realsimger G1000 panels

Hi John. I’m not sure as I don’t have any experience with RealSimGear stuff. Generally speaking, the Phenom 300 uses the same G1000/X1000 system that most aircraft do in X-Plane 11 and 12. Clicking on the top area of the panel pops it out into a window – I assume whatever works for other aircraft would work here? I’m not sure.

Thank you for your thoughts. I am now able “pop out” the MFD and PFD after randomly “clicking” on the panels several times but the “pop outs” include the bezels which are the problem. Other planes which are native to X- Plane 12 such as the Honda jet have PFD and MFD “pop outs” WITHOUT the bezels and fit immediately in the RealSimGear panels.

Hrmm that’s an interesting challenge. I’d pop the question to the Aerobask team on the X-Plane.org forums. Others may be managing a way to do it too!

This one is purchasable for points. Might pick it up down the road. I am at over 50% currently.

It’s certainly one of my favs and I highly recommend. It’s also pretty easy to get into if you’re already experienced with G1000 aircraft.
