New DCS: F4U screenshots

Released yesterday as part of a Christmas/Happy Holidays message from Magnitude 3, we have some new screenshots of the DCS: F4U Corsair. Let’s have a look.

New screenshots

The folks at Magnitude 3 have sent out a holiday message on their Facebook page wishing everyone happy holidays.

We hope you all let the Spirit of the holiday season warm your hearts with peace and prosperity!

The message is accompanied but almost a dozen new images of the DCS: F4U Corsair exterior. The aircraft continues to look highly detailed with some extremely impressive details on both the model and texture work. Some shots show the Corsair sporting a full ground-attack loadout complet with bombs and HVAR rockets.

These screenshots are a follow-up to some images released in October of this year of a more subdued nature.

Not much else

At the moment these don’t appear to be part of any update. Though it is possible that one may yet come by the end of the year. Magnitude 3 have tended to do quarterly or bi-yearly updates in the last couple of years. They haven’t said much since the summer of this year so the status of the F4U remains a bit unknown.

This project has, a few times now, appeared on the surface to be approaching a stage of completion. At this point its status is unknown. But it does look great!
