Brush up on your F-15E air to ground radar use with new tutorial

Released yesterday, RAZBAM have put out the latest video tutorial for the F-15E Strike Eagle ahead of its eventual early access release. This video is focused on the air to ground radar, a strong point of the Strike Eagle, and contains a lot of detail.

APG-70 tutorial

One of the Strike Eagle’s key strengths is it’s APG-70 radar. A powerful performer in the air to air mode, the APG-70’s air to ground capabilities are also extremely impressive. This first tutorial is focused on Real Beam Mapping or RBM mode. According to the tutorial, RBM was an entry point into other more detailed scanning modes. Still, this appears to be foundational for operating the radar – a part 2 of this tutorial series is surely on the way very soon.

This thing is going to be a hobby all on its own. Going to need a better HOTAS and one of those Stream Decks.

    And a better $$$ job. 🙂

Yeah that seems to be how this works. You start off with a cheap $100 joystick and a free to play sim and then you end up with a sim pit, MFD’s and thousands of dollars of software and hardware. 😀

Ha ha ha – my Logitech Extreme 3D joystick is still in my closet!
(need to pull it out and use it as button box or something)
