It’s been a little while since we heard from Big Radials and their plucky #FlyTheDamnPlane philosophy of Microsoft Flight Simulator airplane product. Their last release was last year with the Grumman Goose. Now they are back with a new product this year in the form of the Noorduyn Norseman. Here’s what we’ve seen so far.
The Norseman
Bush planes have been very popular in Microsoft Flight Simulator as the sim is relatively well setup for these aircraft and all of the fun locales that they can fly in and out of. Big Radials looks to be counting on that as they are bringing in the Noorduyn Norseman. This Canadian designed and built bushplane shares in the legacy of the northern bushplane with the better known DHC-2 Beaver.
904 of the type were built between 1935 and 1959. 42 are registered in Canada and an unknown number are flying in other countries.
Big Radials has released two screenshots on their Facebook page over the last couple of days. The hashtag #twoweeks along with the comments posted seem to suggest that release is imminent so stay tuned for more information!
