Time for the first news round-up of the year. A bunch of smaller news items have come out over the last few days and here’s a round-up of a few of them that are DCS World related. We have plans for Reflected Simulations next campaigns, a new image of the Tornado, IndiaFoxtEcho talks weapon options on the G.91 and a brief message from RAZBAM welcoming the new year.
Reflected Campaign plans for 2025
Reflected Simulations has released a new video on their YouTube channel with an overview of what plans are forming for new campaign content in 2025. Among the upcoming campaigns is the already announced Red Flag 81-2 with the DCS: F-4E Phantom II. There will also be a new DCS: F-14 oriented campaign called “Anytime Baby!” which will be a collection of historical missions flown by the Tomcat – a “love letter” to the jet in Reflected’s words.
Reflected is also looking forward to making campaigns for the DCS: F6F Hellcat and DCS: F4U Corsair. Operation Forager, set during the Marianas Turkey Shoot, and another set during the Battle of Okinawa for the Corsair – both contingent on the release of not only the aircraft but the lengthy list of assets needed for a Pacific campaign like that. While we all wait for that, Wolfpack II: Overlord will be a sequel to the Wolfpack campaign using the Normandy 2 map and the DCS: P-47D Thunderbolt.
All very exciting stuff!
AviaStorm show a new image of the Tornado

Progress is clearly being made with AviaStorm and their DCS: Tornado project. Their Happy New Year messaging give us this beautiful shot of the Tornado!
Happy new year, leaving 2024 in the rear view mirror and onwards to 2025!
Hopefully 2025 will be when we learn and see more of what the team at AviaStorm have been up to. Follow them on Facebook for more.
G.91 picks up some new weapons

IndiaFoxtEcho have another DCS update coming in hot with the latest focused on their G.91 project. The Fiat G.91 was designed as a subsonic light attack aircraft and in the latest images we’ve got new weaponry options being discussed.
The work-in-progress images also discuss weapon options. The Mk80 series of bombs (Mk81, Mk82, and Mk83 with low-drag, Snake Eye, and AIR versions), LR-25 rocket pods with ARF-8/M3 rockets, LAU-3 rocket pods with FFAR rockets, and cluster bombs.
They have decided to include the AIM-9B, a weapon planned for use with the jet but not used in practice. Here’s a little of what they said about it:
Although the designers of the time had already equipped the aircraft with a dedicated system for this missile, flight tests (particularly those conducted by the Portuguese Air Force) never yielded positive results due to the seeker’s inability to lock onto heat sources. Fortunately, DCS is not reality and allows us to achieve goals that the designers and specialists of the time could not.
They also report working on HVAR rocket launchers with the shown three rack option also having a six rack option too for added punch.
Jet assisted rocket takeoff is being explored as is the possible, but not confirmed inclusion of the M116A2 Napalm bomb.
Looking forward to more from IndiaFoxtEcho!
RAZBAM 2025 mesage
We haven’t heard much officially from RAZBAM in quite some time, however, one of the key members of the team posted a 2025 message to the developer’s Discord server yesterday. Though the message doesn’t contain any new information it is at least some sort of message from the group.
Welcoming 2025 with Hope and Gratitude Dear RAZBAM Community, As we close the chapter on 2024, we want to take a moment to reflect and thank you for standing by us through a challenging year. Despite the hurdles, your unwavering support and engagement have reminded us of the strength and resilience of this incredible community. 2025 is a fresh start, and with it comes renewed hope and determination. We’re excited to move forward, share new experiences, and continue building this space with all of you. Your feedback, camaraderie, and encouragement are what inspire us to keep improving and striving for more. Here’s to a brighter year ahead, filled with new opportunities, shared adventures, and stronger connections. Thank you for being an essential part of RAZBAM’s journey. Warm regards, The RAZBAM Team
Uncertainty continues to swirl over what the status is between Eagle Dynamics and RAZBAM. Is the situation between the two parties repairable? If not, what happens to their modules and their usability over the long term? Is a fresh start indicating that the developer is moving on to other simulators? It’s quite possible that RAZBAM will turn their attention to Microsoft Flight Simulator, similar to the joint efforts that Heatblur as put in on that platform, or maybe they have hitched a ride with the in-development next generation F-16 Falcon sim from Microprose. We’ll know in time!
Updated: One more video to see on the Skyraider
Check out this interesting video from Air Warfare Group on YouTube with Tyler from Echo 19 who was recently out recording the audio of a A-1H Skyraider for the DCS: AH-1H by Crosstail Studios. We haven’t heard much about that module since its announcement but this is a neat behind the scenes look at how audio gets recorded!
