A mini-update from Matt Wagner and Eagle Dynamics is detailing a significant update to the gunsight system for the DCS: F-16C Viper. A future open beta will enable radar directed gunnery for the F-16 (currently absent) and a few extra details are offered as part of the update. Here’s what we know!
Advanced targeting

Matt Wagner reports that the DCS: F-16C Viper will be receiving the EEGS Level 5 sight as opposed to an older system (called LCOS). The gunsight should provide for accuracy on aerial targets, even at maximum range.
Interestingly, the F-16C also has a number of other displays that enhance awareness during a dogfight. Here’s what Matt had to say,
It also includes the Attitude Awareness Arc (AAA), the Ghost Horizon Line (GHL), Bullet At Target Range (BATR) cue, Multiple Reference Gunsights (MRGS), T-Symbol (Foresight Cue for Hornet pilots), the Aspect Angle On EEGS TD Arc, and more.
