Team Fusion Simulation’s latest developer update video is out detailing some improvements made to IL-2: Cliffs of Dover Patch 4.55 and it’s worth a watch to see what the team is busy doing. They also have a new alpha test version for TFS 5.0 featuring the Ju88C-4 and C-4 Late variants of the twin engine bomber turned heavy fighter.
Patch update details and progress on new content
Team Fusion Simulations is showing off their latest updates for IL-2 Cliffs of Dover with work being done on everything from the P-40 and D.520 cockpits to a new 20mm cannon for the Heinkel He111H-6 and internal detailing for the MC.202.
A new heavy fighter
After years of there being very little representation of the Ju88 outside of the well known A-4 (and A-1) bomber versions, we now have Team Fusion Simulations working on their Ju88C-4 version (an earlier iteration of the C-6 version coming to IL-2: Battle of Normandy) and showing off a video of the Ju88 attacking several bombers and generally flying around along with some screenshots.
The C-4 joins the earlier C-2 variant with some uprated engines and enhanced firepower with three MG-FF/M 20mm cannons and three MG15 7.92mm machine guns. Confused about all of the variants of the Ju88C? Buzzsaw on the IL-2 Cliffs of Dover forums has some descriptions of the differences. A C-6 is also apparently possible in the future.
Enjoy the video!
