Following a release last week with a Christmas message, Magnitude 3 have again updated their Facebook page with a new years message and it comes packed with little information but its big on screenshots. We see the F4U quite a bit, the Essex class carrier, Japanese tanks, and … a Zero? Maybe!
New screenshots
A Happy New Year message from Magnitude 3 has dropped plenty of new screenshots all featuring their DCS: F4U Corsair module that has been on development for quite a long time. The screenshots include some great images of the USS Essex as well as some Japanese tanks.
Have a look at some of those shots below.

There’s one more shot I wanted to focus in on. It’s very clearly inserted as a tease with focus of the image up in the top right. There you can see two aircraft. One is clearly an F4U Corsair. The other looks like an A6M Zero – on fire and trailing smoke.
In the past we’ve seen the FW190A-8 used in trailers with Japanese markings, however, the rounded wingtips and overall shape of the aircraft appears to suggest this is not a stand-in. Is it an AI asset? A fully flyable module coming later? Hopefully we’ll learn more in 2023. For now, check out the image below and keep an eye on Magnitude 3’s Facebook page.
