Seeing an accurate Cold Start video is an important part of the training regime for most DCS World modules and its also yet another one of those teltale indicators that a module is reaching maturity. In this RAZBAM video we see a two-seat start-up in multi-crew which makes it all the more impressive. And as an added bonus… there’s a pretty big tease for a release date.
Cold start time
This 24-minute video is a complete, in-depth cold start walkthrough that gets the whole jet up and running with commentary on each item. This is by-the-book so those of you who love that sort of experience get to see the complete process.
Then we go to the back seat where the start-up sequence there is covered. There’s less to do but its still part of the process.
We have a date

I have to apologize to regular readers because we’ve been through some ups and downs on the F-15E’s release date. I’ve speculated with what I thought was good info and been proven wrong again and again on when this jet might come. Now we appear to have something a bit more concrete – I hope!
The last few seconds of the above video involves some letters and numbers being punched in on the scratchpad. They read: EA-072023. That’s easy to decipher as July 2023 for early access.
That means that, if this ends up being the actual date, that the F-15E will be coming as early as the first week in July which is, believe it or not, 5-weeks away. Of course the more realistic bet is sometime mid-month which takes us to 7 weeks away. Whatever the case may be… year of the Strike Eagle is finally going to be realized. I hope I don’t have to eat my words in about 6-7 weeks time. Stay tuned for more!
