For those of you who love to make use of the DCS: F-16C’s datalink capabilities this news will be for you. The jet is getting an update in the near future that will add some fidelity to the system enabling you to configure your aircraft to accept data from multiple sources. Let’s have a look!

New fidelity

Up until now, DCS: F-16’s datalink capabilities have been primarily centered around your own flight. Now we’ll be getting the ability to incorporate up to 8 aircraft into your flight’s datalink functionality with the ability to pre-set the aircraft in the mission editor or configure the feature mid-flight – provided that you know the STN number of the jet that you want to incorporate in.

Matt Wagner does a great job of explaining it, better than I could certainly, in this new video released earlier today. Have a look!

  1. I think just one time, Nick should voice a product update and Wags should voice a trailer, just for fun.
