A new video from Matt Wagner about the DCS: CH-47F has arrived. It’s a short one clocking in just under 4-minutes but it does talk about a critical phase of flying the CH-47F – landing. Let’s have a look.

Two landing methods

The new video may be short but it does cover a few key details for flying and successfully landing the CH-47F. The landing procedure includes a recommended 300-700 descent as you approach the landing spot.

Two landings, a VMC (Visual Meteorological Condition) landing and a roll-on landing show off two methods for landing the helicopter. The first is for potential use on a non-prepared surface or field landing while the second is for landing on a runway.

Hoping that one of the next videos shows off the CH-47F’s cargo handling capabilities and visually details what is possible as the helicopter comes into early access.
