New details on RAZBAM’s M-2000C and AV-8B

The conversation has shifted on third party developer RAZBAM who had a bit of a rough start to the year but has really made some inroads with the community by bringing some key features to some of their long released modules. There’s new details emerging for the M-2000C and the AV-8B and here are a few new tidbits!

NVG comes to the M-2000C

The Mirage 2000C has been lacking in night vision goggles since its release, however, that is now changing and the request comes from an interesting place.

By request of the AdA, the M-2000C now has NVG.

RAZBAM has been working for the last year with the Armée de l’Air. Photos have been released showing AdA pilots doing some training on PC’s flying DCS World and RAZBAM’s M-2000C module. Evidently the relationship continues to bear fruit as we’ve already seen a long list of changes being made to the jet that are coming from information released officially by the AdA.

JDAM and IR Mav updates for AV-8B

A couple of other tidbits are coming from RAZBAM’s Discord channel and directly from Zeus67. First, everyone has wanted to know if or when the AV-8B would get JDAMs and it appears that they are still planned which helps answer a key question and one of the many asks from the community for the AV-8B.

JDAMs will be included. We need ED’s instruction in how to make them work.

The missiles functionality and specifications are controlled by ED. We just follow their instructions in how the weapons work.

Another question surrounds the IR Maverick’s and if they will ever have a “force correlate” feature allowing them to be targeted at buildings.

We will improve IRMAVs so they can be used against static objects.

Yes! Excellent!

All of these small changes add up and all of this work on two modules that have been out for quite some time now are going a long way to improving RAZBAM’s reputation. Not to mention that both M-2000C and AV-8B are already very good modules that really do deserve greatness. Keep up the great work!

Interesting Harrier news. Not yet tried the JDAM – can you have one a/c lase for another?

Unless we’re talking about the mixed mode version, all JDAM’s only need to be fed coordinates. GPS guides all the way.

Well the JDAM is good news, but I am sure I have locked up small houses in the past and hit them with IRMV’s. It was not so useful since I was trying to find a ZSU-23-4 hiding in a village. Maybe that was a bug, it was over a year ago.
